These business cards were created to express my own individuality as well as my background in science. I started school at UM majoring in Biology and Psychology (with a minor in Chemistry), but decided my junior year that I did not want to follow in my mother’s footsteps to become a doctor. I could either give up my substantial progress on my dual degrees (with good grades) to switch majors into I-don’t-even-know-what, meaning I would be unable to graduate in four years, or continue on the science path and be able to graduate on time. I decided to stick to the science, but supplement my education with a few graphic design courses, the results of which you see before you.
When I think of my personal brand I try to think of myself as a designer, but I truly cannot ignore my roots and education in biology. I wanted my personal business cards to be somewhat nature-inspired to reflect that.
